Venture to Lake Manyara (1 Night) A short drive this morning brings us to the village of Mto wa Umbu. There’s time to catch a glimpse of how the tasty local banana beer is made and a chance to sample some yourself, before heading up the dusty road for lunch. Traverse Tarangire National Park (1 Night) Park. Arriving in time for lunch at our lodge, enjoy a short siesta or one-on-one encounter with the tree hyraxes that cling to the lodge’s trees. We’ve left the best for last. On this final game drive of the trip, you’ll encounter a natural landscape so entirely different from anything you’ve seen so far in Tanzania. Giant baobabs, flat-topped acacias and termite mounds dot the unusual landscape. Tarangire is renowned as one of the best places to view elephants and your Driver Guide will scout for the vast herds that roam these plains so you can admire these gentle giants as they plod their way along in search of the juiciest vegetation. Tonight, as the sky radiates red, yellow and orange, enjoy a bush sundowner and take some time to contemplate the incredible sights you’ve encountered during your East Africa adventure. TRANSPORTATION: This trip is operated by 4X4 Toyota Landcruiser safari vehicles, every one of the 6 seats is a window seat which, along with the pop top roof, gives the best wildlife viewing opportunities. The trip will travel over a variety of terrains, resulting in some rough and bumpy journeys; we would not recommend it to anyone suffering from back problems. Guests must be comfortable climbing in and out of the safari vehicle multiple times a day on this trip. LUGGAGE ALLOWANCE: Guests must travel with a soft sided bag or medium size suitcases due to limited space in the safari vehicles. Soft sided bags makes it easier for the Driver Guides to pack the luggage space efficiently without having to move some of the bags inside the vehicle if there is no space remaining in the luggage compartment. ARRIVAL IN NAIROBI: On arrival at Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta Airport you are met at the airport and taken to your hotel. DEPARTURE FROM KILIMANJARO: complimentary transfer is offered to Kilimanjaro Airport arriving around 2.00 PM, please speak to your Driver Guide for further information.
